Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas home was robbed of $150,000 worth of belongings while he was celebrating his 40th birthday in Los Angeles.
The retired fighter has been busily celebrating the landmark date with some of his celebrity pals, including Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey – but thieves took advantage of Floyd’s absence from his lavish residence in Sin City to steal several purses and at least one expensive watch from the property.
The police have been in contact with Floyd’s camp and the record-breaking fighter has been advised to take an inventory of his possessions, according to TMZ.
Until recently, Floyd – who is well known for his flamboyant lifestyle – was training rap star Soulja Boy for a proposed boxing fight against singer Chris Brown.
Floyd had been helping the ‘Kiss Me Thru The Phone’ hitmaker – whose real name is DeAndre Way – to get in shape for a much-anticipated grudge match against Chris.
But last month, Soulja Boy took to Twitter to shut down talk of the contest, claiming that Chris had refused to sign the contract committing to the fight.
He wrote on the social media site: "Chris brown manager call my manager last night and said the fight is off and he’s not signing contract. Don’t ask me about the s**t no more
"I aint gon say he a b***h or he shook or nothing. I’m just gon say he don’t wanna fight. simple. I can’t force him to sign the s**t. (sic)"
Talk of the fight first emerged after Chris – who was being trained by former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson – vowed to beat Soulja Boy for liking a picture of his ex-lover Karrueche Tran on Instagram.
