Depeche Mode are set to headline 6 Music Festival 2017.
The electronic band, which is comprised of Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Andy Fletcher, will take to the stage at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom to perform on March 26 as part of the three-day festival, according to BBC Radio 6 Music.
And the group also shared the exciting news of their upcoming venture on social media.
Alongside a picture of the trio with the details of the music extravaganza emblazoned on it, they tweeted: "Just announced! DM will be performing at @BBC6Music #6MusicFestival in Glasgow on March 26. (sic)."
The ‘Never Let Me Down Again’ hitmakers are due to belt out songs from their new album titled ‘Spirit’ as well as some of their original classics.
And the 6 Music Festival will mark the first time the band has returned to perform at the site in over 30 years, as they last took to the venue in Scotland since their ‘Some Great Reward’ tour in 1984.
Depeche Mode will be joined by Goldfrapp, The Jesus and Mary Chain, as well as Bonobo for the upcoming event.
And other artists due to put on an unforgettable performance over the weekend next month include Bella and Sebastian, Anna Meredith, Ride, The Shins and Cate Le Bon.
However, it is believed more musicians and bands are set to be added to the line up over the upcoming weeks.
It has also been reported as part of the festival there will be a celebration of live music, comedy sketches and the spoken word at Glasgow’s Tramway over the same weekend as the 6 Music Festival.
And tickets for the bash are set to go on sale online at 10am on Friday (24.02.17).
