Lorde will release a new album this Spring

Lorde is rumoured to release a new album this Spring.
The 20-year-old singer and songwriter – whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor – released her debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ in 2013 and her record label Republic Records has teased the brunette beauty will be unveiling her upcoming track on July 3.
This news was publicised on the company’s website repuiblicrecords.com, and it read: "Lorde (Confidential Title) 3/7 (sic)."
The page also detailed other "Upcoming pop acts", including Julia Michaels and Ariana Grande, are due to be launching their forthcoming LP’s this year as well.
The site read: "Julia Michaels ‘Issues’ 2/7
"Ariana Grande ‘Everyday’ 2/14 (sic)."
The ‘Royals’ hitmaker teased she was working on new material in November last year as she posted a photograph of Apple headphones on her Twitter account, in which she admitted to enjoying listening to music in the way her audience does.
Speaking previously she said: "[I] listen to the record on these every day. [I] wanna hear it exactly how you will".
And the vocalist has revealed when she wrote the tracks on ‘Pure Heroine’ because she wanted to preserve "teenage glory" to ensure her youthful side "never dies".
She said: "I’m not a kid any more, and more and more I’m realizing that the weirdness of those Mylar balloons is going to be okay. Writing ‘Pure Heroine’ was my way of enshrining our teenage glory, putting it up in lights forever so that part of me never dies, and this record – well, this one is about what comes next."
Meanwhile, Lorde has credited fellow musician Phil Collins, 66, for making "magic" with his tracks in a "world of sin".
Speaking previously about the ‘Against All Odds’ hitmaker, she said: "Phil Collins thanks for making your magic in this world of sin (sic)."
