Annette Badland to return to EastEnders?

Annette Badland has hinted she may return to ‘EastEnders’ in the near future.
Viewers thought they’d seen the back of the actress’ evil alter-ego Aunt Babe last week when she was thrown out the Queen Victoria pub by her great-nephew Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) after she was caught trying to steal money from her family’s safe just moments after she attempted to murder her ill sister Sylvie Carter (Linda Marlowe).
But it looks like the vicious cook has other plans up her sleeve as she wants her family – who have disowned her on numerous occasions – to pay for cutting her out of their lives.
Annette said: "The great thing about Babe is she’s a survivor. She’s wounded, but she won’t give in – and so I think with all the threats she made, Babe might be back at some point. She’s cursed the Carters, and you don’t cross Aunt Babe and get away with it."
The 66-year-old actress thinks it would be brilliant to see Aunt Babe team up with Max Branning (Jake Wood), who recently returned to Albert Square to take down everyone who has ever hurt him, because they could wreak havoc for the Walford residents.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she explained when asked if Max and Aunt Babe could join forces: "Oooh, yes! Although then we would be vying for supremacy, wouldn’t we? I suppose Babe would have to let him lead and then she could get up to things on the sidelines. She would only let Max think he was in charge."
Annette’s exit was confirmed last year by bosses when they said that they weren’t planning to kill her off and that they’d left the door open for Aunt Babe to return.
A spokesperson said at the time: "Prior to living in The Vic, Aunt Babe was seen coming and going from The Square with her own life away from Walford. She will still very much be in the wings and could well continue to cause aggro for the Carter family."
