James Corden’s Motown Records documentary

James Corden is making a Motown Records documentary.
The ‘Late Late Show’ host has lined up stars including Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson and label founder Berry Gordy, to help him tell the story of the legendary record label for a new film made by production company Fulwell 73.
A source told The Sun: "The story of Motown Records is fascinating and will make an incredible documentary. The fact they have managed to get Berry Gordy on board is really impressive.
"He has turned down a lot of offers to make similar films in the past but has made an exception for this.
"It turns out he is a massive fan of James and regularly watches ‘The Late Late Show’.
"He sees James as an old school, all-round performer.
"Fulwell directors Gabe and Ben Turner have already been in Chicago filming with Berry and are trawling through his personal archive.
"Obviously, they’re doing everything they can to get the most famous living Motown artists involved too, such as Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross.
"It’s going to be a great watch."
Meanwhile, James recently claimed he missed out on "massive film scripts" in the past because he was judged on his looks rather than his acting abilities.
He said: "When The History Boys became the hottest play in London, there were eight boys of a similar age, and they were all getting these massive film scripts.
"And I would get the one page of a script for a guy who drops off a television to Hugh Grant, or who works at a newsstand and sells a paper to Julianne Moore. And I was like, ‘None of this is based on ability or charisma. It’s only about how I look, and about the assumption that people who look like that don’t fall in love in as nice a way as others. People who look like that are not as interesting.’"
