Jonny Lee Miller wanted to get naked in T2 Trainspotting

Jonny Lee Miller signed up for ‘T2 Trainspotting’ to get naked.
The 44-year-old actor reprises the role of Sick Boy in the sequel to the 1996 cult classic black comedy, and in one scene both Miller and co-star Ewan McGregor, who reprises his role as Renton, are required to run across Edinburgh’s Forth Road Bridge during the rush hour in the nude.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, Miller joked: "That’s why I signed on!"
McGregor, who has a history of taking clothes off on screen, chipped in: "It was fun. And amazingly there weren’t any paparazzi that day, so we got away with it!"
Director Danny Boyle was responsible for bringing Irvine Welsh’s novel of the same name to the big screen in 1996 and he insists the reason for the long wait between the original and the sequel is because he didn’t want the next instalment to mainly be based on the literary sequel ‘Porno’.
Boyle turned down one script he wasn’t happy with but when screenwriter John Hodge presented his updated story he knew the time was right to reunite the four friends; Sick Boy, Renton, Begbie (Robert Carlyle) and Spud (Ewen Bremner).
He explained: "There was a lot of commercial pressures when the first film was a hit and that’s why a lot of s**t sequels get made because there’s of an audience that they make money. The first script was much more closely based on ‘Porno’ and I said I wouldn’t do it. I didn’t even send it to the actors. But when John [Hodge, writer of the original film] delivered this script 18 months ago it was much more personal."
