Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood are in talks to be reunited on American baking show.
The 81-year-old culinary Queen and the 50-year-old chef – who judged the popular programme ‘The Great British Bake Off’ together for six years after it first aired in 2010 – are rumoured to join forces again and re-ignite their "on-screen chemistry" in a new series of ‘Great American Baking Show’ following Mary’s success on the ABC programme.
Speaking about plans to continue the series with the addition of the silver fox, a source told The Sun Online: "’The Great American Baking Show’ did really well in the ratings and execs love the British accent.
"They may want to get the pair back together again for their on-screen chemistry."
And it is believed if the duo make a comeback on the follow-up series to the US show, the UK will be desperate to get their hands on the show first.
The source continued: "There would also be a lot of interest here and a UK channel would probably show it for the first time."
Although the pair decided to go their separate ways last year when the popular BBC cooking competition was sold to Channel 4, which saw Paul opt to continue to critique tasty treats whilst Mary decided against the move "out of loyalty" to the BBC, neither Mary or Paul hold any bad blood against one another.
And Mary has wished her colleague all the best for the upcoming series of ‘The Great British Bake Off’, which Paul is believed to start filming in May this year.
Speaking previously, Mary said: "It’s going to be different but I’m sure Paul will carry it on successfully."
