Honey G is Saara Aalto’s ‘inspiration’

Honey G is Saara Aalto’s "inspiration".
The ‘X Factor’ runner up – who lost out on the winning title to Matt Terry in last weekend’s show – has admitted she was in awe of the wannabe rapper for "being herself" and she showed the Finnish beauty it’s OK to be "different", which gave the 29-year-old singer "strength" on her journey on the ITV talent show.
She said: "I think Honey G is a brand, she’s an inspiration for me at least. When I came here, I was a little bit different and in Finland people didn’t really accept me, and then I came here and I saw Honey G doing so well and I thought ‘British people are so great, they accept Honey G as she is, so maybe they’ll accept me."
She added: "She gave me lots of strength actually, she’s my inspiration, I think it’s really nice that she is who she ism, she’s staying true to herself and it’s all good. She’s a lovely woman."
Both Honey G – whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford – and winner Matt Terry have both signed record deals and Saara is holding her own talks in the next few days to see where her career will take her next.
She told the Mirror Online: "The final was two days ago so we need time to plan everything, this week we have lots of meetings and let’s see what’s going to happen. Fingers crossed."
Saara previously revealed she has pushed back her wedding to focus on signing a record deal.
She got engaged to her girlfriend Meri Sopanen in August but they’ve been forced to delay the big day because she’s too busy chasing after the perfect label.
She said: "[The wedding] is somewhere in the future not right now, we have some other things to do first…
"I’ve had so many meetings but it’s only been two days so it’s all very confusing at the moment but we’ve had very good meetings and very good plans."
Meanwhile, Saara could be set to duet with Adam Lambert, who she performed with on the final show.
Of a possible collaboration, Adam told BANG Showbiz: "A collaboration? Who knows but it is always possible. She is absolutely lovely. She has been tweeting me weeks before this all came out. It was meant to be I feel like, she is lovely!"
