The Little Mix singer recently split from fiance Jake Roche and while her bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards find the best cure for a broken heart is to curl up with some sweet treats, she and Leigh-Anne Pinnock prefer to sweat out their troubles.
Asked what she does after a break-up, Jesy told Britain’s OK! magazine: "Me and Leigh-Ann exercise and Jade and Perrie reach for the ice cream."
And Jade thinks heartbreak is good for her and her bandmates because it makes them look "hot".
She said: "Don’t you think whenever any of us ends a relationship we all get hot bodies?
"Whenever one of us goes through a break-up, we have that post break-up glow going on."
Perrie added: "Everyone loves a break-up diet."
The ‘Black Magic’ hitmakers have been criticised for their skimpy stagewear, with some arguing it sets a bad example to their young fans but the group insist they have never set out to be role models.
Jesy said: "We were never like, right, we’re going to be role models – we’re going to do this and we want people to follow us.
"We’ll wear whatever we want and if we feel comfortable in it, that’s all that matters.
"We don’t really care what anyone else thinks about it. If you don’t like it then don’t watch us or look at our pictures."
Jesy recently admitted she thinks"crying it out" is the best way to get over a break-up.
She said: "You have to go through the stages of just crying it out. Be around your friends and having that support and then you get yourself out and you mingle."
