Mel C reveals the benefit of her new relationship

Mel C’s new relationship has given her "confidence" in her career.
The former Spice Girls singer – who has seven-year-old daughter Scarlet with former partner of 10 years Thomas Starr – has never felt as supported as she does with Joe Marshall, and is even open to the idea of having more kids.
The 42-year-old star said: "My partner gave me confidence. He challenges me but respects and loves me.
"I don’t think I’ve ever been in a relationship where someone has got my back.
"I’ve never wanted to get married but maybe I’ve never met the person. Life’s complicated. So no plans!
"It would be lovely to think about more children in the future."
And Mel admitted it took becoming a parent to Scarlet before she felt properly settled for the first time.
She explained to Closer magazine: "It’s a cliche but becoming a mum is life-changing. It was really good for me.
"It made me feel settled, gave me roots.
"I left home at 16 for London and then the Spices happened, so I never really had a home until I had a child."
Mel would support her daughter if she wanted to follow in her footsteps but she is reluctant to let Scarlet join any form of social media because she thinks the sites are "dangerous".
She explained: "My mum let me do everything I wanted so I would support Scarlet, but I would air my concerns.
"I’ll keep her away from social media for as long as possible because it worries me. I think it’s a dangerous thing."
