Ryan Lawrie leaves X Factor

Ryan Lawrie has been kicked out of ‘The X Factor’.
The 20-year-old hopeful was booted from the show on Saturday night (20.11.16) after losing out in the sing-off to controversial contestant Honey G despite putting on a great performance of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Lego House’.
Speaking after his exit, he said: "The highlight has been the whole thing. Just being able to be on ‘X Factor’ and be here. Wow. I’m just so thankful I’ve been able to come sixth in the competition so thank you to every single person on the show because you changed my life."
And Ryan was full of support for his girlfriend and fellow contestant Emily Middlemas.
Asked who he wants to win the show now he’s gone, he shared: "I hope Emily goes onto win it now."
Honey G narrowly made it through to next week’s live shows after singing a mash up of ‘Get Ur Freak On’ and ‘Work It’.
Meanwhile, Ryan opened the show on Saturday evening (19.11.16) with ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and Louis Walsh was full of criticism for him, insisting he would never be better than fellow contestant Matt Terry.
He said: "There is a guy on this show called Matt who will always be better than you."
However, Simon was more positive, adding: "I think this was your best performance of the whole show. It was the very first time you actually looked like you had fun."
Honey’s performance received good comments from Simon Cowell but on Sunday night’s show (20.11.16), he admitted her performance wasn’t as good when he watched it back.
Speaking on Saturday, he told her: "You are infectious; every time you put on a show. Is it the best thing I’ve heard? No. Do I look forward to you coming back? Yes. It’s time to rip up the rulebook."
Whilst Nicole Scherzinger pondered: "I love the energy. Towards the end, I started to wonder if I’m seeing the same thing week on week."
‘The X Factor’ will return next weekend where the remaining contestants will sing songs to fit the ‘Louis Loves’ theme.
