Larry Lamb joins I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Former ‘Eastenders’ star Larry Lamb has been confirmed for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The 69-year-old actor – who played the evil Archie Mitchell on the BBC soap from 2008-2009 – has reportedly signed a deal for a huge six figure sum in return for heading off into the jungle as part of the ITV reality show.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It’s a mega coup for the show, they have wanted to get Larry for a long time and he finally agreed to it this year.
"He is very popular with the ladies especially older house wives; he’s going to be a massive hit."
And the ‘Gavin & Stacey’ actor – who previously dated last year’s contestant Lady Colin Campbell – finds the show "entertaining", and "can’t wait" to get involved.
The source added: "Larry loved last year’s show and he was enthralled by Lady C , especially because they’ve got history.
"He found it all very entertaining and can’t wait to give it a go, he’s a big fan."
Larry will join the likes of ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett Moffatt, ‘Emmerdale’ actor Adam Thomas, radio host Lisa Snowdon, England cricketer Monty Panesar, and broadcaster Danny Baker in the jungle.
The news comes after it was recently announced that Olympian Sam Quek would be heading into the wilderness following her gold medal win at the Rio games with the GB Hockey team.
A source said at the time: "Sam ticks all the boxes for producers. She’s a hugely successful Olympian and is gorgeous to boot.
"Producers think the personality that has made her a hugely popular member of the GB hockey team will shine through on camera.
"She’s got a bit of experience as a swimwear model too so it goes without saying that they hope that will result in some waterfall scenes that the show is so famous for."
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ will air on ITV in November.
