Honey G has been given her own room in the famous ‘X Factor’ mansion.
The wannabe rapper – whose real name is Anna Guildford – has received special treatment from bosses as she’s allowed to have her own private abode in the multi-million pound house while the other contestants are crammed in one room with bunk beds.
Speaking on the Radio One ‘Breakfast Show with Scott Mills’ on Tuesday (25.10.16), she explained: "I have my own room because I’m special like that. Hip hop stars who are rich and famous who’ve made it probably don’t sleep in bunk beds."
The brunette star has been slammed with backlash since her mentor Sharon Osbourne decided to take her through to the live shows with her other two contestants but Honey G – who credits Jay Z as her inspiration – isn’t bothered by the "haters".
She said of those who have mocked her authenticity: "Haters who say I’m not real, these guys just need to check themselves. They just don’t mean nothing to me."
But it’s not just viewers who have raised eyebrows over the contestant’s set, as John Legend, who stopped by rehearsals last week, thinks she’s a "novelty act."
He told BANG Showbiz: "There’s been a lot of conversation about her, I’d heard about her but I hadn’t seen any of the episodes leading up to it. She has attracted a lot of attention, all I told her was try and be the best version of her that you can be.
"To me, I think part of it is about choosing which songs you do and trying to execute the mechanical of being a good rapper, it’s about flow, it’s about how you use your voice, how you communicate to the audience so I tried to be as kind and sensitive as I could be.
"People are obviously getting caught up in the novelty of it. The song she had chosen, I thought, heightened the novelty of her because it was referencing another novelty act, which I thought wasn’t the best idea, so I told her that. What else do you want me to say?!"
