Gender swap comedy Sam is perfect film for Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner should watch new gender swap comedy movie ‘Sam’ because she’ll be able to relate to it, according to its director.
Nick Brooks – son of comedy legend Mel Brooks – is making his directorial debut with the movie about a chauvinist alpha male who wakes up trapped in a woman’s body, and feels Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, will understand some of the things its main character experiences.
Speaking at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I do think Caitlyn Jenner would be able to relate to this movie. Especially in the way that all of a sudden she was looked at and judged.
"Suddenly after she underwent her changes, everything was about her clothes, hair and makeup. Whereas when she was Bruce Jenner nobody gave a cr*p! They didn’t care whether he was wearing jeans or trousers or golf shirts or whatever. It was not relevant, not considered. Then all of a sudden, as Caitlyn, everything was about her hair!"
The family comedy movie, which stars Natalie Knepp, is packed with laughs but also comes with a serious message, although Nick was keen to keep the sociological message of the film subtle.
He added: "I didn’t want to be lecturing or heavy fisted or like hitting someone over the head with a politically correct mallet, I wanted it to be a message that could be delivered through comedy, so that it could impact and resonate later."
‘Sam’ is available for streaming now via various platforms including iTunes and is also available on DVD.
