Justin Timberlake dedicates concert film to Prince

Justin Timberlake has dedicated his new concert film to Prince.
The 35-year-old pop star is releasing ‘Timberlake + and the Tennessee Kids’, which is a recording of the final 2015 performance of Justin’s ’20/20 Experience World Tour’ at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ hitmaker has made no secret of the fact that the late ‘Purple Rain’ singer’s music had a massive influence on his own career and insists it "just feels right to dedicate the film" to Prince – who passed away in April at the age of 57.
Justin said: "His influence, and I have this in common with I think every musician of my generation and the generations to come, his influence is all over everyone’s music and there’s so much that I feel like I’ve maybe consciously and unconsciously borrowed from him that it felt … right. It just feels right to dedicate the film to him."
And director Jonathan Demme also agrees with Justin’s decision to offer the movie to the ‘Purple Rain’ songwriter.
Demme said: "The film’s been blessed with that name and that spirit."
The film captures Justin in his element on stage entertaining his adoring fans, but he admits he was a little embarrassed to see how much he sweats when he’s on stage.
Speaking about his profuse perspiration to E!, he said: "I don’t know how you would have hid that."
Demme added: "I love when the disco towel comes out!"
‘Justin Timberlake and the Tennessee Kids’ is to premiere on television steaming service Netflix on Wednesday October 12.
Justin’s next big screen project ‘Trolls’ – an animated movie based on the popular toy range created by Thomas Dam which has been popular in the 60s, 70s and 90s – is out in November.
Other stars to voice characters include Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, Jeffrey Tambor, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, James Corden and Zooey Deschanel.
