Michelle Keegan to make more Our Girl

Michelle Keegan has confirmed she will be making another series of ‘Our Girl’.
The 29-year-old actress won praise for her portrayal of Army medic Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in the BBC drama series, and following its conclusion last night (05.10.16), she has announced she will film more episodes in the new year.
She said in a statement: "I’m so happy that we’ll be back for another series as I think there’s definitely more stories to tell with Georgie.
"The reaction to the show has been overwhelming and I’m really thankful to everyone who’s watched and supported it.
"It was an amazing experience filming with such an incredible group of people and I can’t wait to do it all over again."
The dramatic finale saw Georgie end her relationship with Jamie (Royce Pierreson) on their wedding day and choosing a return to Nufula and the Kenyan refugee camp over a reconciliation with her first love Elvis (Luke Pasqualino) but show creator Tony Grounds insists that doesn’t mean the end for either hunk.
Discussing whether Luke’s Elvis will be in season three, he said: "I think that’s a possibility.
And asked if it’s the end for Royce’s Jamie, he added: "Not necessarily… I think all three live to fight another day."
Season one – which starred Lacey Turner – was set in Afghanistan and season two in Kenya, but it is not yet decided where the third series will take place.
Tony told RadioTimes.com: "I’m doing the research at the moment so I haven’t put my finger on the globe yet… I’m going to be looking where the natural disasters are and where the British army’s involved so I haven’t 100% chosen the place."
And Tony would also open the door for Lacey to reprise her role as Molly Dawes, especially after Captain James (Ben Aldridge) let slip during last week’s episode that she is now his wife.
He said: "If she ever wanted to do it she’s only got to ring me up – she knows that. I think it’s all about logistics. I don’t know how ‘EastEnders’ works and we’re invariably filming abroad. But I love that Molly Dawes character."
