Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are friends again.
The ‘Blank Space’ hitmaker split from the Scottish DJ in June after over a year of dating, and despite a spat after it emerged she had secretly written his hit single ‘This Is What You Came For’, the pair are back on good terms.
Sources told TMZ Taylor and Calvin began exchanging text messages shortly after her brief romance with Tom Hiddleston ended earlier this month, though it is unclear who got in contact first.
However, the insiders insist the pair will not be rekindling their relationship, and they have not spoken on the phone or met up in person.
The 32-year-old producer recently admitted he found it "very difficult" having his break-up with Taylor, 27, play out in public.
He said: "It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly.
"The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself.
"When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus.
"She respected my feelings in that sense."
After it was leaked that Taylor had written ‘This Is What You Came For’ under a pseudonym, Calvin slammed his former lover on Twitter.
He posted: "I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex-BF down for something to do."
But the ‘Summer’ hitmaker later admitted he regretted the post.
He said: "It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled.
"It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.
"I’m not good at being a celebrity, but when it ended, all hell broke loose.
"Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure.
"It took me a minute to realise that none of that matters. I’m a positive guy."
