The Chainsmokers tease ‘really special’ Chris Martin collaboration

The Chainsmokers have something "really special" in the "pipeline" with Chris Martin.
The ‘Closer’ duo – comprised of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall – recently shared clips on Instagram in the studio with the Coldplay frontman and now the popular DJs have confirmed they could be releasing new music with the ‘Up&Up’ singer.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, they said: "We don’t want to jinx anything or give away too much but that guy and that experience were one of the most wonderful moments we have ever experienced.
"And we may or may not have something really special in the pipeline."
The ‘Selfie’ hitmakers said their sessions with Chris have inspired them to be "better" people and enjoyed speaking to him about their future.
They said: "You leave Chris Martin wanting to be a better person haha… He is magnetic and so talented, to be able to shoot the s**t talk about his music, our music, the future it was something."
The duo’s single ‘Closer’ with Halsey was number one in the UK and on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, which was a "surreal" moment for the them both.
When their manager asked to speak with them to share the news, they assumed they were in "deep s**t" at first.
However, they were over the moon with the news and got straight back into the studio to make more chart-topping tunes.
They laughed: "It’s all very surreal to us at the moment. We were in Japan in our hotel. Our manager asked us to FaceTime the both of us together.
"We thought we were in some deep s**t. He told us and we jumped around like maniacs and then got right back to work in the makeshift hotel studio."
The Chainsmokers will perform at London’s Electric Brixton on October 19 and October 20.
