Mariah Carey announces final Las Vegas shows

Mariah Carey has announced her final Las Vegas residency shows.
The 46-year-old singer kicked off her run of concerts at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace two years ago, and she has now revealed dates of the last nine shows which will bring her time in Sin City to a close.
A statement posted on her website read: "Mariah has announced one final set of dates for her ‘#1 To Infinity’ shows at Caesar’s Colosseum in Las Vegas, scheduled for Spring 2017! […] If you haven’t had the opportunity to catch this spectacular show, now is your chance. You won’t want to miss Mariah #1 To Infinity, a special performance featuring all 18 of Mariah’s classic #1 songs."
The ‘Without You’ hitmaker has been performing her ‘#1 To Infinity’ show – which draws from her whopping 18 Billboard 100 chart-topping singles – at The Colosseum since May 2015, and will have performed 50 shows at the venue by the time her residency is up.
John Nelson Sr, vice president of AEG Live Las Vegas, said in a statement: "Mariah is a phenomenal talent with ecstatic, global appeal. We adore Mariah and are honoured she has called The Colosseum home over the last two years. We look forward to working together again in the future."
The final dates for the ‘We Belong Together’ singer’s residency take place on April 26th, 28th and 29th and May 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 12th and 13th.
Tickets will be available from Friday 23rd September from the Colosseum’s website.
The end of Mariah’s residency will no doubt be bittersweet for the pop megastar, who said she was "excited" about the opportunity when it was announced in January 2015.
She said: "It’s a new chapter for me and I’m just excited about it."
