Simon Cowell disappointed with One Direction

Simon Cowell is disappointed some members of One Direction never approached him about their solo projects.
The 56-year-old music mogul is annoyed that the likes of Zayn Malik didn’t get in touch about their solo work despite Simon supporting their career ever since they were put together as a group during ‘The X Factor’.
Speaking to reporters at the ‘America’s Got Talent’ season finale, he said: "I hear so many things now, which they’re doing, which I’m not involved with. It’s a bit like I’m getting the hint you don’t want me to come to the party. Sorry for making you famous …
"Look, I’m not going to lie when I hear they’re doing something, and they haven’t approached me. You think, ‘Well I would have liked you to,’ but it’s their choice. I’m not bitter – much."
When asked if he is involved in Zayn Malik’s new memoir, he said simply: "You know what? I genuinely don’t care."
His comments come only days after Simon admitted he wishes Zayn had come to him about his new TV show about the formation of a successful boy band.
He said: "Nothing surprises me anymore. I think he should have come to me with it, if I’m being honest with you. I do actually believe that when they’ve got these ideas, bearing in mind where we started, they should actually come to me."
Simon has previously expressed his annoyance that Liam Payne signed with rival record label Capitol Records.
He said at the time: "It is a bit annoying if I am honest with you – mainly because it is a another label who has now got your artist who you worked with for so many years. But that is the music business, unfortunately. I don’t think anyone else from the band will do that."
