This Morning to screen live birth

‘This Morning’ will screen a mother giving birth live on air.
The ITV brunch-time show’s co-host Holly Willoughby – who has children Harry, seven, Belle, five, and 22-month-old son Chester with the TV producer Dan Baldwin – has teased the programme will get a "maternity" segment this autumn and will capture a women going into labour on camera.
Speaking about upcoming plans for the show, Holly revealed: "We are doing a whole new maternity section. I am going on to a maternity ward and hopefully someone will let me speak to some women who are in labour to get a vibe of what it is like on a ward.
"There may well be a baby born on ‘This Morning’. I have never watched anyone else in labour."
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old beauty’s co-host Phillip Schofield has said that he is to swim with sharks for the show, which is something he’s always dreamed of doing.
The 54-year-old television presenter told the Daily Star newspaper: "It will be a bucket list thing for me and one of the things I said I wanted to do was swimming with sharks. There is no backing out now."
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time ‘This Morning’ have had a shake up as it has just recruited a new member of the team – a gorgeous puppy named Luna.
Phillip and Holly were left heartbroken in July when they bid farewell to their resident guide dog Clover so she can continue her training as an assistant for the disabled.
But bosses of the programme decided to replace the beloved pup with a white Labradoodle – a Labrador and Poodle mix – and introduced the 11-week-old fluff ball to the viewers of the show last week.
The presenters – who have just returned from their summer holiday – asked viewers if they could come up with a name for their new four-legged friend and, after a few suggestions, finally revealed their chosen name.
Phillip said: "Our puppy is called Luna, that’s because she’s the same colour as the moon…"
