Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ video was inspired by X-rated website Pornhub.
The superstar rapper – who is married to Kim Kardashian West – worked with 24-year-old director Eli Russell Linetz on the promo which debuted at the MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden last weekend.
The video features stunning singer Teyana Taylor covered in oil as she carries out a super-sexy dance routine in a gym wearing just a crop top and a butt-baring thong.
Later on Teyana and her fiancé, basketball player Iman Shumpert, share a steamy embrace in a shower and then she is revealed to have the facial features of a big cat as she hugs her man while they are bizarrely surrounded by sheep.
Now Linetz has revealed he logged on to the adult site to check out pornography from the 70s and 80s to inspire the look and feel of the short film for ‘Fade’ – which is from Kanye’s latest album ‘The Life of Pablo’.
In an interview with The New York Times newspaper, he said: "I got an email from Kanye super-late one night (about the video). I pulled a lot of references from 70s and 80s porn, just on Pornhub. That was less about the imagery and more about the texture of the skin, the oiliness."
Linetz also praised Teyana and Iman for their professionalism on set and the fact they were up for getting naked and pretty much doing anything.
He said: "Teyana and Iman were just so in love and down for whatever. [Their baby] Junie was crying, they were naked, the sheep were pooping and peeing everywhere. But they were really game. I had to tell them to be more aggressive in the shower, because they were just so sensual with each other."
