Lisa Maxwell has landed a role in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The former ‘Loose Women’ panellist has been cast in the E4 soap as the ex-wife of gangster Fraser Black – who is portrayed by Jesse Birdsall – called Tracey.
The 52-year-old star’s alter-ego is set to cause all kinds of trouble when she arrives in Cheshire this summer.
Not only does Tracey [Lisa] have a blowout with her daughter Grace [Tamara Wall], but Grace’s half-siblings, Jesse [Luke Jerdy], Adam [Jimmy Essex] and Liam Donovan [Maxim Baldry] aren’t too pleased to find their half-mum in town as she reveals a massive family secret.
Lisa – who is best known for her role in British police drama ‘The Bill’, which she starred in from 2002 until 2009 – has teased that her character is a complete "train wreck", however, there is a lot more to Tracey than people may think.
Talking about Tracey’s dramatic entrance, she explained: "Seeing how her return impacts on Grace will be interesting as there’s not a lot of love lost between them. Especially as she arrives with a big juicy Donovans secret.
"Tracey has had a hard life and might at first seem like a bit of a train wreck and burden to her daughter when she arrives in the village but there is much more to her than meets the eye — as you would expect of Fraser Black’s ex-wife."
Meanwhile, Lisa has revealed that she had to tone down her look for the part, but she’s had "terrific fun" in hair and make-up.
She told The Sun newspaper: "Let’s just say her make-up call is a lot shorter than Grace’s!
"Tracey is a great character to play and it has been great terrific fun having a make-under to play her."
Lisa follows in the footsteps of ‘Loose Women’ panellist Denise Welch, who previously starred in ITV’s ‘Coronation Street’
