Caitlyn Jenner is suing paparazzi who she alleges played a role in the car crash she was involved in last year.
The ‘I Am Cait’ star has filed a lawsuit accusing photographers – who she calls "the Stalker Defendants" – of "harassing [her] throughout the day up through the time of the accident", in February 2015, and therefore playing a part in the fatal crash on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Legal papers obtained by E! News read: "As Jenner was driving her vehicle consistent with all laws and speed limits, the Stalker Defendants, and others acting in concert with them, continuously, negligently, and recklessly operated their vehicles, tracking Jenner."
Caitlyn – formerly known as Bruce – also claims she was "visually distracted" and the "reckless conduct" of the photographers is partially to blame.
The court document added: "As a direct consequence and result of this stalking, harassing and distracting conduct, [Jenner] was visually distracted, and the negligence and reckless conduct of the Stalker Defendants did contribute to the cause of an accident where seconds and split seconds mattered."
In January, Caitlyn settled another case filed against her by the step-children of Kimberly Howe, who died in the incident.
Meanwhile, Jessica Steindorff, the driver of a Prius involved in the pile-up, dropped her lawsuit against Caitlyn for personal injury and property damage after her insurance company once again paid out.
Caitlyn was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing in relation to the crash.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney (D.A.) decided not to charge the reality star with vehicular manslaughter and officially rejected the case because she wasn’t speeding and her conduct was not "unreasonable" when she "set off a chain of events" that resulted in the death of Kim in the multi-car pile-up on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Following the accident, Jenner released a statement sending her condolences to the family.
She said: "My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident.
"It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine that this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible."
