Gwyneth Paltrow’s longtime friend Mario Batali "didn’t like" her ex Ben Affleck.
The 43-year-old actress has revealed her pal wasn’t keen on the ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ actor, who she dated in 2000, but did approve of Hollywood star Brad Pitt, who she was in a relationship with from 1994 to 1997 and got engaged to.
Speaking at a Goop and Cadillac dinner at Mario’s New York City restaurant, La Sirena, she told the crowd: "He was just teasing me about every boyfriend I brought to [Batali’s restaurant] Babbo over the years.
"He liked Brad Pitt, if you want to know. Didn’t like Ben Affleck that much."
Gwyneth and Ben met at a party hosted by studio executive Harvey Weinstein.
Last year, the blonde beauty admitted the star "wasn’t in a good place" to date someone when they briefly went out.
She said: "He’s super intelligent and really, really talented and he’s funny.
"But he wasn’t in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend."
Gwyneth has two children, Apple, 12, and 10-year-old Moses, with ex-husband Chris Martin who she was married to for 13 years until "consciously uncoupling".
Their divorce was finalised last weekend after she originally filed in April 2015.
The ‘Avengers’ actress is now in a relationship with Brad Falchuk and recently admitted her and Chris always put their children first, but insisted their split hasn’t always been easy.
She said: "As anybody who has been divorced knows, you have to put a lot aside to maintain the family and the practicalities of what that might mean and sometimes that’s quite tough on a personal level."
Chris is dating Annabelle Wallis and the pair could be set to wed.
