The Spice Girls to front their own talent show?

The Spice Girls are in talks to launch their own TV show to rival ‘The X Factor UK’.
Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner of the group have reportedly been holding discussions with the BBC for the programme, which would compete with the ITV talent show, ‘The Voice UK’ and Gary Barlow’s ‘Let It Shine’, however, they are yet to sign a contract.
A source revealed: "It’s early days but Mel B, Emma and Geri are in talks about developing their own show."
Mel, 41, would be able to put her experience of being a judge on Simon Cowell’s ‘X Factor’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’ to good use as the trio bid to find the nation’s most talented musicians.
The news of the ‘Spice Up Your Life’ group’s plans to tackle the TV talent show market comes as Take That frontman Gary Barlow revealed he is to hunt for performers with "charisma, showmanship and stage presence" to be cast in a new musical for his programme.
Gary, 45, said of his plans: "With ‘Let It Shine’ we’re looking for people from all walks of life to form another unique group."
However, both Gary and the Spice Girls will have to make sure they are not copying the format of ‘The X Factor’ as Cowell is reportedly considering taking legal action if ‘Let It Shine’ has any similarities to his show.
A source previously said: "Simon’s team is keeping a close eye on Gary’s show.
"They want to make sure that it’s completely different to his own projects – otherwise there could be trouble.
"As the trailblazer in the TV talent show sector, it’s no surprise Cowell wants to protect his brand.
"He keeps an eye on all the developments in the industry as they could impact on his business."
