Christie Brinkley has branded a woman who peed outside her home a "belligerent drunken stalker".
The 62-year-old supermodel doused Erica Remkus, 36, with a garden hose when she caught her squatting on the Sag Harbor Cove sand near her Hamptons home at around 10pm on Saturday (02.07.16), and she has no regrets about giving her a soaking.
Christie – who has her own range of sparkling wine, Bellissima Prosecco – told the New York Post newspaper in a statement: "I know it’s Independence Day but that does not mean free to pee right in front of my guests and me at my fireworks gathering.
"Maybe the trespasser should celebrate Depends Day, as I was forced to hose down her mess.
"My wish for everyone on this Fourth of July is, ‘May you live in the land of the free from belligerent drunken stalkers with weak bladders and foul mouths.’ "That’s not too much to ask, right? Peace!
"I’ll raise my glass of Bellissima Prosecco to that! Cheers, happy Fourth everyone."
Erica previously revealed she didn’t recognise Christie when she first started yelling at her for squatting outside.
She claimed the model screamed: "What are you doing?! You can’t pee in front of my house! You have to go away. You’re standing on my rocks. You can’t pee on my rocks. I walk there!"
However, Erica insisted the section of sand she was standing on, which was deserted except for a man who had also urinated there, was public property.
She explained that she replied: "These are not your rocks. This is not your beach. The beach is public property. You don’t own it."
In response, the former Sports Illustrated model then pulled out her hose and blasted the hairdresser from around 30 feet away.
Erica added: "I hadn’t even peed yet, by the way."
After getting a soaking, Erica then defiantly relieved herself on the sand while being filmed by the model on her cellphone.
She said: "I would not have peed if she didn’t spray me. After that, I kind of had to."
Christie – who only occasionally uses the holiday home – then called police, who interviewed Erica but declined to cite her.
Authorities explained to the publication that they wouldn’t normally press charges unless the urination was witnessed by officers.
A local official said Erica had peed on public property.
