Jess Glynne is to take a break from music at the end of the year.
The ‘Hold My Hand’ hitmaker has had a hectic touring cycle since the release of her debut LP ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ last summer and now she has revealed she will take some time out to focus on herself and has no immediate plans to write new music.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I’m not in the studio I’m just on the road. I’m going to take a holiday at the end of the year."
Writing music has been like therapy for the 26-year-old singer and she admits it has helped her through some "really tough times".
She shared: "Music has got me through some really, really tough times. It’s a really weird thing, I wouldn’t know how to describe it, but when you’re feeling sh*t, or you’re feeling happy, I feel whatever emotion you’re going through music sits very well at the side of it."
Despite relentless touring and travelling all over the world, Jess says she keeps healthy by making sure she eats well, gets plenty of shut eye and ensures she drinks lots of water.
Of her health regime on the road, she said: "I’m eating well, making sure I sleep and drinking loads of water. I just don’t eat too much sh*t, I have nutritious meals, that’s very important to me."
Despite her plan to take time out Jess has assured fans that there will be a second album, but she’s not ready to focus on that just yet.
She said: "You will hear a new album but just not yet. I haven’t had the chance get stuck into it yet."
