Will Smith forgot the lyrics to ‘Men in Black’ at an impromptu gig with Coldplay’s Chris Martin in Cannes, France on Tuesday (21.06.16).
The 47-year-old actor – who sings on the song from the 1997 movie of the same name – surprised attendees at the MediaLink and iHeartRadio event at the Hotel du Cap Eden Roc, when he jumped on stage with the British rocker who played acoustic guitar while Will beatboxed and attempted to do the rap verses.
In footage circling online, he confessed: "I don’t remember all the words so Imma (I’m going to) keep rapping.
"I ain’t done this song in a long time, Imma just say words that rhyme, hoping it’ll be good when I see it and it gets, out on the Internet."
Chris, 39, also serenaded guests performing covers of Prince’s ‘Raspberry Beret’ and David Bowie’s ‘Life on Mars’.
And Chris’ ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow – with whom he has daughter Apple, 12, and son Moses, 10 – was in the crowd and no doubt felt embarrassed as he kept cracking jokes about their marriage.
According to New York Post’s Page Six column, he joked: "Is there anyone in the room that used to be married to me?"
And he also quipped: "At least someone else understands what I put you through."
Meanwhile, it’s rumoured that Will – who is currently in Europe with his family, including wife Jada Pinkett Smith – is going to make a surprise appearance during Coldplay’s performance at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, South West England, on Sunday (26.06.16) where the ‘Up & Up’ hitmakers are headlining.
