Bethenny Frankel reveals cause of health scare

Bethenny Frankel’s health scare was caused by uterine fibroids.
The Real Housewives of New York City star was struck down by a mysterious illness in April and has revealed the cause was benign growths that had developed in her womb.
She said: "I’d lost ten percent of my blood, my uterus had doubled in size and my fibroids had grown larger. I was scared. I slept in bed for like a week."
The Skinnygirl founder suffered from fatigue, anemia, pain and bleeding, but helped herself heal through eating bright coloured vegetables and is now feeling well again.
She told PEOPLE: "I focused on getting healthy, drinking green juices and eating a lot of bright-colored foods so I could help myself heal as fast as possible. You know, just trying not to have a BLT be the first thing I eat. I feel really good. I look forward to walking on the beach. I’m in a really happy place right now. It was, overall, a very enlightening experience."
Meanwhile, the TV star said she is looking forward to having a divorce party when her marriage to Jason Hoppy is legally over.
The former couple – who have five-year-old daughter Bryn – split in 2012 after two years of matrimony and despite filing for divorce in 2013, their union still hasn’t officially been dissolved.
She said: "I believe there’s an end in sight. I do. I think we are at the very end. I’ve said that before and been wrong. But this is the closest I’ve ever felt.
"I might just have party plans. You don’t want to decorate the nursery until the baby comes, but I’m excited, just as excited as someone is excited to paint the nursery pink. I don’t know many parties that would rival my divorce party, I’ll tell you that."
The star no longer has to pay spousal support of a reported $26,000 a month to her estranged husband, and the Skinnygirl founder admits the decision "felt good".
She said: "You know, there’s a lot more to that puzzle than people will realise.
"Divorces on two-year marriages don’t normally take almost four years to get divorced.
"There’s a lot more to it than meets the eye, but that felt good and just. I’m adjusting to the typical gender and role reversal of being the breadwinner."
