Peter Andre is reportedly set to return to the UK after his daughter Princess was rushed to hospital for an emergency operation.
The 43-year-old singer has apparently said he will return home from an overseas trip to be by the bedside of his eight-year-old daughter, whose mother, Katie Price, took her into hospital after she developed a mystery illness.
A source told The Sun Online: "Pete is not in the country but he’s aware of what’s happened and he’s waiting by the phone to find out the latest but he’s been assured that they think Princess will be OK."
Peter is reportedly waiting to hear from Katie about Princess’ condition before he jets back to the UK.
The source explained: "Pete is assessing the situation and if her condition gets worse he will come home."
Katie, 38, has been by Princess’ side ever since she was rushed to hospital.
Shortly after they arrived, Katie took to Twitter to bemoan the speed with which the emergency services responded to her call for help, saying Princess was waiting for an ambulance for one hour.
Katie tweeted: "After a hour for ambulance to arrive at home earlier ! still in hospital so shocked what’s happened my poor little baby being do strong…"
The news comes as Katie and Peter’s second child, Junior, celebrates his 11th birthday today (13.06.16).
Earlier, Peter – who is currently expecting his second child with new wife Emily MacDonagh – posted a picture of his son on Instagram and captioned the image: "Happy 11th birthday my beautiful boy."
