Calum Best is unlikely to return to ‘Love Island’.
The 35-year-old reality star – who first appeared on the celebrity version of the show in 2005 – has dashed hopes he’ll make an appearance on the latest edition of the ITV2 dating programme as he feels the contestants are more concerned with hopping into bed for a fumble and lounging around in the sun than actually finding true romance.
On the possibility of making an appearance on the show, he said: "Ten years later people still associate me with ‘Love Island’, but with all due respect, I think times have changed.
"When I did that show it was glamorous, we were in Fiji, we were going on beautiful dates, and now it’s like who can hop into bed the quickest to stay on the show. It’s changed its tone a bit. But it’s an experience they will never forget."
Meanwhile, Calum is currently starring on US dating show ‘Famously Single’ and admits the show’s therapist has helped him to open up about his problems.
He told Digital Spy: "I’m so happy with this show, this path that I’m on. I’m just trying to go bigger and better. I’m happy where I’m at. You are always going to have your guard up on television but I thought I might as well learn from this experience and go all out with the therapist – she got out of me a lot that has never come out before."
Elsewhere, the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star said there was some definite "chemistry" between himself and ‘Famously Single’s Brandi Glanville.
Of their connection on the show, he said: "We had some chemistry, we had some highs and lows, we had some arguments, kisses… I had a lot of time for Brandi – she’s very clued into what’s going on."
