Black Sabbath rock Download Festival for final time

Black Sabbath gave their final ever performance at the Download Festival on Saturday (11.06.16).
The heavy metal group – who are currently on their ‘The End Tour’ – performed to thousands of adoring fans at the rock festival held at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England.
Frontman Ozzy Osbourne’s wife Sharon was spotted side of stage smiling as she looked on at her husband rocking the main stage, showing she still is supporting her husband even though they separated last month after 34 years of marriage last month amid claims he had been unfaithful with hair stylist Michelle Pugh.
The set from Black Sabbath – also comprised of Tony Iommi and
Geezer Butler – was nothing but astounding as they played all of their greatest hits, including ‘Paranoid’, ‘War Pigs’, ‘Fairies Wear’ ‘Boots’, ‘Hand of Doom’ and ‘Snowblind’.
Elsewhere, Rival Sons – who have been the main support for Sabbath on their farewell tour – also performed at Download.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz about supporting Sabbath – which also includes Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler – Guitarist Scott Holiday said: "It’s like the type of tour you dream about when you’re a little kid. We found that the crowds really, really connect with what we’re doing – so there you go, it’s perfect."
Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx and former Guns N’ Roses star DJ Ashba brought their band Sixx: AM to festival and frontman James Micahel teased that they have some shows coming up with their pals in Sabbath.
He said: "We heard Black Sabbath as we were leaving the festival. I think we have a couple more shows with them."
The weekend also saw stellar performances from headliners Iron Maiden and Rammstein.
Meanwhile, Black Sabbath have announced that their final ever gig as a band will take place on November 12 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
A statement posted on the heavy metal group’s official Facebook page read: "The end is here. Nearly five years to the day that the legendary BLACK SABBATH announced they would be reforming, the band will play their last show EVER in the U.S. November 12 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.
"This just announced performance is one of three headlining arena concerts the band have added to the final North American leg of their massive 2016 THE END world tour. The new shows are November 8 at BOK Center in Tulsa, OK, November 10 at Toyota Center in Houston, TX and November 12 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. These dates and the previously announced headlining slot at this year’s 20th anniversary celebration of Ozzfest (Saturday, September 24 at the ‪#‎OzzfestMeetsKnotfest‬ double-header music and lifestyle weekend) come at the end of the band’s North American tour, which kicks off August 17 at Nikon At Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY. The 2016 THE END world tour and the OZZFEST MEETS KNOTFEST are both produced by Live Nation … These new dates mark the end of the epic journey that BLACK SABBATH began nearly five decades ago.
