Steve McFadden has become a father for the fifth time.
The 57-year-old actor – who plays Phil Mitchell in ‘EastEnders’ – and his girlfriend Karen Cairns have reportedly welcomed a daughter named Frankie.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: "Steve and Karen are both over the moon with little Frankie. Her pregnancy did come as a surprise, but now they are both really happy."
Steve already has son Matt McFadden, 28, and daughters Teona, 18, Mollie Jane, 12 and Amelie Tinkerbell, seven, from previous relationships.
Meanwhile, Steve – who has starred in ‘EastEnders’ for 16 years – recently won the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award at the British Soap Awards.
Speaking in a pre-recorded video message, Steve said: "Wow, wow. What can I say. I don’t know what to say, because I don’t really get awards – but I’ve got one now, so what I will say is thank you, thank you, thank you."
And he went on to pay a special tribute to Barbara Windsor, who played his on screen mother Peggy Mitchell, following her final stint on the show in which Peggy killed herself after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
He said: "I must mention Barbara Windsor, who has been an absolute pleasure to work with, and a wonderful, wonderful person and friend in my life. Thank you Barbara for everything."
