Britney Spears was craving a cheeseburger after the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday (22.05.16).
The ‘Piece of Me’ hitmaker was desperate to chomp down on the greasy high-calorie meal after she spent a large chunk of her evening parading around the stage at the T-Mobile Arena in flesh-flashing ensembles while performing a medley of her greatest hits to the packed out stadium.
Taking to her Twitter account after the extravagant music event, held in Paradise, the blonde bombshell wrote: "After tonight… All I really want is a cheeseburger #BBMAs. (sic)"
And the shrieks and cheers weren’t the only thing that were on the 34-year-old singer’s side at the event as Britney also walked away with the prestigious Millennium Award, which was only previously presented to Beyoncé in 2011 and the late Whitney Houston in 2012, as an acknowledgement to her outstanding career and influence in the music industry.
She tweeted after picking up the trophy: "This award & this night meant the world to me… Thank you @bbmas, my amazing crew, dancers & of course my fans (sic)."
Meanwhile, Britney – who is currently on her Las Vegas residency – has worked hard to achieve her chiselled physique over the past few months but she wasn’t the only one who had to think outside the box for the event.
Britney’s costume designer Mark Zunino, who was responsible for her barely-there leotards, told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ prior to the BMAs: "There was an enormous amount of hand-beading involved with many of the pieces. Britney’s body is so toned that we were able to forgo using nude illusion and were able to have hand-draped crystals swaged on her actual body."
