Brad Pitt loves ‘teaching’ his children

Brad Pitt loves "teaching" his children.

The 50-year-old actor – who raises Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, seven, and twins Knox and Vivienne, five, with fiance Angelina Jolie – loves seeing his six kids respond to his encouragement and thinks the way they share their knowledge is "beautiful".

He said: "It’s fun watching our kids getting older and learning more. That’s one of the great privileges of being a father – you get to teach them things.

"All you have to do is just give them a little inspiration and encouragement and the next thing you know, they’re reading everything they can about a subject. Then they try and show you how much they’ve learnt. It really is so beautiful."

Despite their global fame, Brad and Angelina do their best to give their family "security and privacy", although that means there are certain places they can’t visit.

Brad told OK! Magazine: "We do a pretty good job protecting our children from [paparazzi]. We do have to take detours to go to certain places – and then other places, like the park, are completely off-limits, so we try to find a beach where there aren’t too many people.

"We like to be able to give the kids a feeling of security and privacy as much as we can. It’s easier when we’re in the countryside or France where no one pays much attention to us."
