Hugh Hefner is a "drama queen", according to is former live-in girlfriend Holly Madison.
The 36-year-old Playboy model quit staying at the Playboy Mansion in 2008 with Hefner, now 89, after his other girlfriends Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson left and he became a nightmare to be around.
In an interview with People magazine, she said: "When Bridget and Kendra left, I was seeing more of him and I was like I can’t deal with this person by myself. I realised what a drama queen Hef is and how much he loves drama. I really started seeing his true colours and I couldn’t make excuses any more. I had to get out of there."
In 2015 Holly released her first book ‘Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny’ where she gave people an insight into what life was like, but as she releases her second memoir ‘The Vegas Diaries’ she reveals it was the desire for the Playboy Bunnies to act dumb, which made her feel under-valued as a woman.
Holly said: "It was a place where you’re made to feel like as a woman, your value decreases as you age. And it decreases if you have something to say. It’s really not healthy.
"When I arrived, I saw women tell lies about other women and get them kicked out. I got scared really fast. They were always watching every move I made. There were sharks in the water.
"I never felt comfortable in a situation where by the time women were 28 they were supposed to be put out to pasture. And it was a culture that really encouraged women who acted stupid. It was a constant struggle."
Holly is now happily married to Pasquale Rotella – who she tied the knot with in 2013 – and is pregnant with her second child, a brother for three-year-old daughter Rainbow.
