Beyoncé felt "raw emotion" whilst recording ‘Lemonade’.
The ‘Run The World’ hitmaker’s new LP features "every happiness and every sadness", according to her collaborator Naughty Boy.
He said: "I spoke to her last year. She was going through the emotions that a woman goes through. It was every raw emotion and every happiness and every sadness. I knew that album was going to reflect that.
"I try not to gossip about somebody else’s business. I’m not trying to read between the lines."
And the 31-year-old music producer – who teamed up with the 34-year-old beauty on his track ‘Runnin’ last year – isn’t worried about not being featured on her new album as he is sure they will "work together again one day".
He added: "That album is a body of work. I’m sure we will work together again one day. Runnin’ is still getting played and people are still talking about it. My contribution is there.
"She’s performing Runnin’ on the Formation tour and that’s amazing. I can’t wait to catch it when she gets over to Britain. For her, it’s nice to go from Runnin’ to Lemonade in terms of the sound. It shows how versatile she is."
Beyoncé appeared to hint that her husband Jay Z had cheated on her when she referenced a "Becky with the good hair".
