David Mitchell and Robert Webb to reunite for new sitcom

The ‘Peep Show’s David Mitchell and Robert Webb are set to reunite for a new Channel 4 sitcom.
The comedy duo – who portrayed useless flatmates Mark Corrigan and Jeremy Usbourne respectively in the show for twelve years until it came to an end last year – are joining forces once again for their new belly-laughing sketch ‘Back’.
The pair will play former foster-brothers Stephen (David) and Andrew (Webb) in the forthcoming project, which is penned by ‘Peep Show’ co-writer Simon Blackwell, as they lock horns over the future of their father’s pub following his tragic death.
Simon said: "It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to write for David and Robert again, and very exciting to be surrounded by such a superb cast, director and production team."
Stephen was initially set to get his hands on the boozer after his mother Ellen (Julia Deakin) and sister Cass (Louise Brealey) failed to take over the reins of the pub.
But his plans to rule the establishment are cut short when charming Andrew turns up at the funeral.
Phil Clarke, head of comedy for Channel 4 added: "Simon has written a very funny and clever script with a strong emotional heart that takes Robert Webb and David Mitchell in a new and genuinely intriguing direction."
‘Black’ is set to hit screens early next year.
