Next webslinger film will be Spider-Man: Homecoming

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ has been revealed as the title of the next film about the webslinger.
In February 2015, Marvel Entertainment, Sony Pictures and The Walt Disney Company announced an historic deal to share rights to Peter Parker and his arachnid-powered alter ego with Spider-Man – played by Tom Holland – making his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this year’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
Now, with the new standalone Spider-Man movie set to hit cinemas on July 7, 2017, Tom Rothman – Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Motion Picture Group – with help from Holland shared the title at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday night (12.04.16).
Teasing fans with an insight into the story, Rothman said: "Homecoming obviously is a high school reference. This movie shows the enduring conflicts at Peter Parker’s roots, saving the world and getting your algebra homework done on time. More than that, for Sony, the film is a homecoming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s something we and all the fans are giddy about."
Holland then screened a teaser clip from ‘Captain America: Civil War’ showing Peter entering his home to find his Aunt May talking with Tony Stark – aka Iron Man.
Here Tony tells Peter that he has applied for a special grant to help his education, and that he has been accepted but this is all news to Peter. The clip ended with the scene where Spidey makes his cameo in the movie.
Before attending CinemaCon, Holland walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and he shared his thoughts on the Spider-Man film title’s high school prom reference.
Speaking on the red carpet, the 19-year-old actor said: "It really is a homecoming to the character because throughout the story Peter is trying to find his true identity and where he really belongs in this world."
Also starring in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is Donwey Jr. as Tony Stark, Marisa Tomei stars as Aunt May and Zendaya as Michelle.
