Jess Glynne to donate concert cash to horse charity

Jess Glynne is set to perform at The Jockey Club Live presents An Evening At The Races this summer and is using her concerts to raise money for the Retraining of Racehorses charity.
The ‘Hold My Hand’ singer will perform four open-air concerts at racecourses in the UK, starting at Haydock Park in Merseyside, England, on July 1 and ending at Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, on August 13.
Jess admits it is a "pleasure" for her to be able to donate a percentage of her ticket sales to help the charity – which looks after the welfare of former racehorses.
Speaking about her involvement with Retraining of Racehorses, she said: "Supporting a charity specialising in retraining retired race horses is a pleasure, the work RoR carries out is incredible – protecting the welfare of these beautiful animals."
Andrew Wilkinson, the CEO & Co-Founder of The Jockey Club Live, is thrilled to have the BRIT Award-winning pop star perform at the summer shows.
He said: "We’re delighted to have Jess Glynne join us this summer, performing four shows across Haydock Park, Sandown Park, Newmarket and Market Rasen. Undoubtedly the biggest success story of the past few years, she has so many hits it’s going to be a pleasure to hear them all in the open-air setting of these beautiful racecourses. She’s passionate about the welfare of horses so after she told us she wanted to donate a portion of her fee for the events to an equine charity, it was a simple decision for The Jockey Club Live to match her donation to RoR."
Other artist to perform include Sir Tom Jones, Little Mix, Will Young, The Corrs and Busted.
Tickets for all events are available at www.thejockeyclublive.co.uk
