Julie Walters wants to compete on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – but fears she’s "too old" now.
The 66-year-old actress is keen to slip into her jungle gear and head out into the Australian outback when the tough jungle-based show returns to screens later this year but she thinks her age will stop her from nabbing the gig.
She explained to the Radio Times magazine: "The one show that makes me think, ‘I could do that’ is always ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’. Of course but I’d never do it because of the spiders, but the thought of overcoming fear is quite interesting to me. But I’m too old now."
But that isn’t the only show on her radar at the moment as Julie is open to pulling on heavily crystal-encrusted gowns and hitting the dance floor for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ as well, although she doesn’t think she could handle nasty judge Craig Revel-Horwood’s rude remarks on her bad posture.
She said: "It would be a toss up between that and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but I couldn’t bear Craig Revel-Horwood telling me, ‘Stand up, dear!’ because of my posture."
