Tom Parker has ripped the ligaments in his hand after he took a tumble training as a standby contestant on ‘The Jump’.
The former Wanted singer was left in excruciating pain after he tore the tendons in his wrist when he fell on the slopes of Austria while training as a reserve on the winter sports show.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I’ve hurt my hand, yeah. We were practicing the air jump and I landed on my hand and pulled all of the tendons and ligaments in my wrist. That did actually really hurt. But we push on."
Despite his damaged wrist, the 27-year-old singer is still on standby to jump in to the tough competition if one of the other celebrities are forced to drop out due to extreme injury.
He explained: "I landed back in the UK yesterday. It’s nice to be back in reality a little bit to be honest with you. But, I had a wicked time out there. I am on standby for the next two weeks. So I might still be doing the show."
And the handsome singer is secretly hoping a member of the line-up – including Beth Tweddle, Rebecca Adlington, Sid Owen and James ‘Arg’ Argent – pulls out of the competition because he’d "love" to slip into his thermals and hit the slopes.
He added with a giggle: "I’d love to do the show because I had such a great time out there."
